    FLEA DESTROYER

Break the cycle of fleas where they begin

    What is Flea Destroyer?

One container of Flea Destroyer holds 10 million microscopic, beneficial nematodes (Steinernema feltiae and Steinernema carpocapsae) that naturally live in soil, bark and ground litter.

    • They travel through soil and penetrate flea larvae.
    • By releasing bacteria that kill the larvae, they end the flea life cycle.
    • They kill before fleas grow up to bite – unlike products that target adult fleas.
    • They’re the only way to proactively deal with fleas introduced by feral animals.
    • They’re safe for people, pets and plants.
    • But they’re also harmless to beneficial insects such as ladybugs, lacewings and praying mantis, as well as earthworms.

One container will cover approximately 2,000 sq ft.

    How Often Should You Use?

Treating your lawn and garden once a year is typically sufficient - recommended to use before fleas start to come out, normally early spring - unless you are in a high infestation area or an area that suffers with fleas year round, in which case it is best to use twice a year - once in early spring and once in the fall.

    How to Use

Step 1: Add water and follow the directions on the container to prepare Flea Destroyer.

Step 2: Apply with a hose-end sprayer, pump or tank sprayer, or a watering can.

Step 3: One container treats ~2,000 sq. ft. under ideal conditions, or 1,000 sq. ft. for heavier infestations.

    Storage

The nematodes in containers of Flea Destroyer do not require any special care while on the shelf. Lower storage temperatures of 35°–50° F will significantly extend the shelf life, however.

    Shelf Life

The shelf life of Flea Destroyer nematodes is about six to eight weeks at room temperature and about a year refrigerated. It is stored at our warehouse refrigerated and shipped out like any other product, so we recommend using the product within a few weeks of receiving it or refrigerating it.

Is Flea Destroyer Safe for Other Living Things?

Steinernema feltiae and Steinernema carpocapsae, the nematodes used in Flea Destroyer, will not harm pets, people or plants. They’re also safe for beneficial garden insects such as ladybugs, lacewings, praying mantis and earthworms.
